I was 9 years old on 9/11 and had no idea what was going on. All our teachers were crying and watching the news but wouldn't let us see. The principal said we might have a lock down. A friend of mine was crying because her dad worked at the Air Force Base in Tucson. It wasn't until I got home that afternoon that I saw the towers come down. I had never thought about our country being attacked. It was startling, shocking, and sad - all those lives lost, innocent people just going to work. Since then, I've hoped another tragedy like this were to ever happen again. I send my condolences to all the families who lost loved ones that day. We will never forget any of them.

I was in fourth grade, doing a English assignment. i then noticed that 3 other teachers and mine were huddled in a corner watching the TV. i could see them crying and it made me wonder what was happening. i believe we were dismissed from school early but us students did not know why. When i got home is when i saw on TV what was going on. The feeling was indescribable about our country being attacked. It was like a reality check that our world is not perfect. What most bothered me was when people were recorded falling out of the building. I will never forget that day. Those that were lost that day will never be forgotten.
